Otolaryngology (Pediatrics)

The unit specializes in the diagnosis, consultation, and surgical treatment of children up to the age of 16 suffering from various ear, nose, and throat (ENT) conditions.

A wide range of surgeries is performed within the unit with exceptionally high availability and without prolonged waiting times.

The team includes senior physicians who have undergone specialized training in pediatric ENT diseases and possess the highest level of expertise and experience, enabling them to handle even the most complex cases.

The Unit for Pediatric Otolaryngology of the ”Dana-Dwek” Children’s Hospital treats children with various disorders and problems:

  • Congenital and genetic disorders in communication and ears, nose and throat, including the head and neck
  • Speech and hearing disorders, vocal problems such as hoarseness
  • Obstructive sleep apnea
  • Children with tracheotomies
  • Chronic ear infections and their complications
  • Chronic sinusitis
  • Disturbance in nasal breathing
  • Benign and malignant tumors of the ears, nose and throat system, head and neck
  • Various ears, nose and throat infections
  • Problems with swallowing and salivation

The unit performs examinations of the upper airway using fiber optic endoscopy. The unit holds an outpatient clinic three days of the week and performs surgeries twice a week.
